Top Ten Things About FCA Camp in Spearfish
(That Make Us Pumped)
1. To Challenge and Grow Spiritually
Sports Camps focus on “Training the Total Athlete,” developing athletes mentally, physically, and SPIRITUALLY. We want week of camp to be the infusion of both athletic and spiritual experiences and encounters with Jesus.
We see our Sports Camp as an opportunity to do just that.
Campers will have a whole week of opportunities to encounter Jesus and clearly hear His call for their lives as student athletes. Daily quiet Time, Team Chapels, and Huddle meetings all play a role in campers' personal and spiritual growth. Even getting to know a new roommate may be one of the many ways a camper's life can change!
Grow with Huddles and Huddle Leader
Campers will also be united together in sport huddles with new teammates. Each huddle will be led by a college Christian athlete who has a passion for Jesus, sports and also a young athlete. These groups eat meals and worship together. They intensely compete and train together during their time at camp.
2. To Excel in Sport
FCA sports camps include Sport-Specific camps in which the camper selects one sport for the entire camp experience.
Our Spearfish FCA camp offers specific instruction and development in your one preferred sport. Check out the options below:
- Cross Country
- Swimming, Tennis
Did you find a sport you want to excel in? Make sure to pick the one when you register now!
3. To Build Leaders
Team Chapels, Huddle meetings, and other events provide campers with Biblical perspectives and resources to overcome obstacles student athletes face in school and on the field. We want campers to be empowered in their walk with Jesus as they go out to play, serve, and lead on their campus and teams.
This year we are blessed to have Team Chaplain for the Denver Broncos - Reza Zadeh lead as our Camp Dean! What an amazing testimony he has to share with campers!
FCA Student Athlete Leadership Teams
If you are a student athlete on the Leadership Team, going to camp will be a great way to grow in your leadership skills and learn more about FCA. If you are a Student Athlete Leader and have not signed up for camp yet, please REGISTER HERE. And make sure to check out our scholarships as well!
For College Student Leaders
If you are a college student and want to influence and impact younger student athletes, applying for Camp Huddle Leader Position may be where God wants you this summer. Please prayerfully consider making this important commitment.

4. To Develop Athletic Skills
Sports Camps serve as a great way to focus on developing athletic skills under highly trained, excellent clinicians, who also love Jesus and are committed to FCA. Our campers have access to resources and training like no where else in the country!
What makes FCA coaches the best around for campers and student athletes? Fellowship of Christian Athletes believes that the most effective strategy to share the Gospel with coaches and athletes is "to and through the coach." This means we have laser focus on developing Christian character and values in our coaches, along with the commitment and desire to excel in sport and instruction.

5. To Experience Intense Competition
Once campers are enrolled into camp and receive their confirmation letter, they may notice that requirements to bring are their own water bottle. Hydration takes priority because FCA SPORTS Camp is INTENSE!
Our FCA Sports camps provide safe, healthy environments to challenge student athletes in taking their game, their skills, their sports passion to the next level, while at the same time practicing their faith on the fields and off the courts.

6. To Fellowship and Worship
For Team Chapels, Huddle leaders have been known to do some fun "Ice Breakers" and "Team Builders" for the whole camp on stage or upfront. Other activities scheduled into the week's event also provide opportunities for campers to connect more. All in all, these times serve as some seriously fun fellowship moments and uniting all campers.
Making Some Noise
One of the biggest highlights for camp comes from worship during Team Chapels. Bands that do worship at FCA Camp help prepare our student athletes' hearts for God's call. Plus, the music just rocks!

Bonus, travelling together also serves as an opportunity for campers to get to know each other on this all day trip.
How To Get on the Bus

9. To Get Free FCA Merch and Discounts
Enrollment fees cover all essentials, but you will no doubt want spending money for incidentals and extras such as FCA apparel that will be for sale in the FCA store. This is your one time of the year to purchase FCA merchandise at a Camp discounted price and without shipping costs applied! (Excerpt from Confirmation email/letter)
As a 2019 CAMP ENROLLEE, campers will receive, upon arrival, camp tee-shirt, lanyard, and a Bible. Just look at the pic above at how cool staff and campers look all FCA geared up!
