Check In 

12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25th. 


 
Upon arrival at Black Hills State University, come to the Black Hills State University Donald E. Young Sports and Fitness Center, 1625 St Joe St, Spearfish, SD 57799. 


 
DO NOT bring your luggage and equipment in with you to check in.  Leave it on the bus or in your vehicle.


Golfers BRING in your clubs only at check in because this is where you load for your first session.


The following items listed below are needed at check in: 

  •  Unpaid Registration Fee balance
  • Any Medicines in a zip lock baggie with instructions.  These will be turned in to our Medical staff. 



Housing 

Camp housing is available after 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 25th.  The first Camp meal is Tuesday dinner.


Campers will be housed with other campers in their sport and Huddle and as close to the same age as possible.  There will be no roommate requests.  Please do not ask.  Thank you.            
 

Early arrivals are not allowed unless coming with Camp Staff on Monday is your only ride to camp.  If a camper’s only ride to camp is with staff on Monday, they will be charged an Early Arrival Fee of $42 for additional Room and Board charges payable when you check in. 


 

Registration Fees and other Fees 

$375 all sports and $475 for Golf All unpaid fees are due prior to or upon check-in at camp.  
 


Cancellations can be made by calling the Camp Registrars at 307-703-4201 or 308-760-4605

 
 
If you have to cancel, all fees will be refunded in August.  There is a $50 NO SHOW Fee, unless prior communication has been made with the Registrars.  


Lost Key: A $35 fee will be charged to the camper for a lost campus access card/dorm key.
 



What to Wear and Bring  

Modest Clothing Please: Workout and other clothing should cover your shoulders and sides.  Use the same discretion with shorts.  Swimmers, wear competition style suits, 1 piece for girls, please.  


Shoes and equipment should be brought appropriate for your sport.    


A ball for your sport is recommended. Put your name on it, if you bring one.  


Golfers bring your own clubs! Soccer players will need shin guards.
 

Football players need to bring your shoulder pads, helmet and mouth piece.  Please get with your local coaches to check out your gear well before you leave for camp.  Many coaches are at camps or on vacation and not always available in the summer.  Plan ahead please! 


 
*A WATER BOTTLE is required.  Put your name on this as well with a permanent marker.
 

* Other Personal Items: Toiletries, snacks, sun screen, and money for the camp store. *Bring a pen and notebook.  
 

Note:  Rooms are not air conditioned, so fans are welcomed. Do not bring expensive items.  Pets are not allowed.

Departing Camp 

Camp officially ends at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 29th.  Campers should be picked up near their dorms.  (LUNCH IS NOT PROVIDED ON SATURDAY)   


 
Parents please feel free to join us for our closing team meeting that includes open mic with statements by our campers.  This is usually a very powerful and sometimes emotional session.  It begins at 11:00 a.m. at the Spearfish HS Auditorium 1725 N Main St, Spearfish, SD 57783

Shopping at FCA

Enrollment fees cover all essentials, but you will no doubt want spending money for incidentals and extras such as FCA apparel that will be for sale in the FCA store. 


This is your one time of the year to purchase FCA merchandise at a Camp discounted price and without shipping costs applied!  

Camp Give Aways

As a 2019 CAMP ENROLLEE, you will receive, upon arrival, camp tee-shirt, lanyard, and a Bible.  
 

Are You Insured?

FCA will only provide secondary insurance coverage for the camper during the stay at Camp. 

In case of injury or illness, campers will need to provide proof of insurance coverage at the time of treatment.   A photocopy of your insurance card will be sufficient.

Campers not covered by family insurance will be cared for.
